Proposal
The Interinstitutional Doctorate Course in Translation Studies at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) is a proposal for an academic partnership with the Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA), through 4 campuses: Castanhal, Bragança, Abaetetuba and Soure, where there are degrees in Portuguese and foreign languages. In addition to contributing to the professor training in Translation Studies, this course implementation has favored the nucleation of research groups and led to the creation of new postgraduate courses at the masters and doctoral levels in Translation Studies. (APCN in progress). DINTER allowed the strengthening of cooperation between the North and South regions, and especially of the institutions involved in the project.

Proposal
It is a proposal for an academic partnership between their respective teams of researchers in the field of Translation Studies. The project involves ‘areas of concentration compatible with the vocation and development perspectives of the Receiving Institution’ and seeks to promote the establishment and consolidation of joint knowledge training in the disciplinary field of Translation Studies. In this sense, we seek to explore the potential of the two graduate programs to strengthen the training of human resources, teaching and research groups (in line with regional needs), subsidize the nucleation, and strengthen in such a way to promote academic interaction between the three postgraduate programs. The Promoter Program – PGET/UFSC aims primarily to qualify human resources at the Postgraduate (Ph.D.) level and consolidate research in the area of Translation Studies, with a view to the research line excellence in the Brazilian academic context especially in the northeast region. It is believed that the intensification of exchanges between the three programs will improve the quality of postgraduate studies in this area.
