[Lançamento de livro]: Literary Translation in Latin America in the Twenty-First Century: Bridging Experiences, Theories and Cultures
A egressa da PGET e atual docente de Tradução na Pontificia Universidad Católica do Chile, Letícia Goellner, é coorganizadora do volume Literary Translation in Latin America in the Twenty-First Century: Bridging Experiences, Theories and Cultures, publicado pela UCL Press, da University College London.
O livro integra uma série coordenada por Ana Claudia Suriani, professora de Literatura Brasileira na UCL. A pesquisadora esteve na PGET como professora visitante, com financiamento do projeto Capes/Print coordenado por Andréia Guerini, fortalecendo as parcerias acadêmicas e de pesquisa entre as duas instituições.
A obra está dividida em três partes e reúne 18 contribuições, das quais três são de egressos e docentes da PGET. Entre elas estão o capítulo das egressas Joana Vangelista Mongelo (Parapoty) e Mary Anne Warken, intitulado Maino I, Mainomby: the messenger hummingbird in the translation of Ayvu Rapyta; o capítulo em coautoria da egressa Letícia Goellner, Vicente Menares e Belén Rodríguez Salvatierra, intitulado Different strategies in the process of rewriting children’s books: the translations of Reinações de Narizinho by Monteiro Lobato from Portuguese into Spanish, English and German; e o capítulo da docente Evelyn Martina Schuler Zea, On translation and Andean care with the dead.
O volume é resultado de uma missão de pesquisa realizada pela docente Dirce Waltrick do Amarante na UCL, em Londres, com financiamento do projeto Capes/Print da PGET, intitulado Tradução, Tradição e Inovação.
